WALD (FOREST): FASHION

I live and work in Wald (English: Forest). In the 19th century, Wald developed into an important center for the textile industry, earning it the nickname “Manchester of Switzerland.” Around 1900, there were about 20 textile factories in Wald and the surrounding area. My most recent pictures are inspired by details of haute couture fabrics which, when enlarged, become abstract formations.

WALD (FOREST): NATURE

One third of the municipality of Wald is covered by forest. I live on the edge of the forest and experience lively forestry activities, which have inspired me to see and depict the forest in a more abstract way and in different colors.

STATE OF THE PLANET

Climate change, increased conflicts, and the destruction of our planet have unfortunately become seemingly irreversible facts. I try to document and criticize this, sometimes in a more abstract form.

A TOUCH OF SARCASM

I like to paint people and objects, but I'm not just interested in depicting them; I want to tell a story that moves me. Often with a sarcastic undertone and thus also with a critique of society.
